Enjoy the quintessential British Tea as the Feversham Arms Hotel to mark Afternoon Tea Week

Enjoying an afternoon tea is a quintessentially British experience and in just a few weeks time the Feversham Arms Hotel is putting on a special offer celebrating the pastime.

The luxury hotel and spa in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, is once again joining in the annual Afternoon Tea Week celebrations when cups will be raised between Monday, August 10 and Friday, August 15, but this year there’s a twist on the tradition.

Feversham ArmsAll Day Afternoon Tea will be offered to guests at the Feversham Arms Hotel wishing to not only enjoy the taste of quintessential Britain but also the sights and sounds.

The offer will see people start the day at the Feversham Arms Hotel for the first part of the afternoon tea – the cup of tea – before setting off for a walk to the nearby Rievaulx Abbey. At one time one of the wealthiest abbeys in the country it is now in ruins, but what remains tells of a spectacular building and stunning architecture.

Once you get there take a break at the abbey with the delicious scone, cream and jam, provided by the Feversham Arms Hotel, and admire the sights and sounds of one of England’s former great monasteries.

Finally guests will make their way back to the Feversham Arms Hotel for the final element of the Afternoon Tea – the sweet treats – before ending the day with an Aaahhh Leg & Foot Energiser at the hotel’s Verbena Spa to ease any tired feet.

Charles Merchie, General Manager at the Feversham Arms Hotel, said: “We relish our location on the border of the North York Moors and in Helmsley, which really is at the heart of Britain. So what better way than to celebrate the delicious tradition of afternoon tea than by embracing everything we are surrounded by for the full British day out.”
