As part of their upcoming series of events, The Lucky Onion Club has announced that they will host an exclusive Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival event with celebrated chefs Yotam Ottolenghi and Ramael Scully on Friday 2nd October 2015 at No. 38 The Park.
For the first time, Yotam Ottolenghi’s celebrated Soho restaurant NOPI will take its trademark flavours and seasonal cooking on the road to the oldest and most esteemed literature festival in England – the Cheltenham Literature Festival – to celebrate NOPI: The Cookbook which is released on 10th September. The book is a collaboration between NOPI Head Chef Ramael Scully and Yotam who, drawing on Ottolenghi’s Middle Eastern influences and Scully’s Asian background, have created 120 inspiring recipes. Yotam and Scully will host this special occasion in collaboration with the Cheltenham Literature Festival and The Lucky Onion owners, Sam and Georgie Pearman, at No.38 The Park, where they will create a three course feast for lunch and dinner, bringing the best of NOPI’s flavours to an intimate group of diners.
Yotam commented on bringing NOPI to Cheltenham: “It’s going to be a great event. There will be so many stories contained within the day – from the festival in general to the house itself, both so rich with colour and history – and we’re really excited that some of NOPI’s recipes, also rich in history, as well as flavour! – are going to be weaved into this tradition.”
Sharing a love of fresh ingredients, Ketel One Vodka has been invited by The Lucky Onion to serve bespoke cocktails from the Ketel One Vodka Kitchen, where they will be providing pre and post dinner cocktails using seasonal fruit and vegetables.
With only 50 diners per sitting and only two sittings available, this is a special event for those who enjoy top quality food and drink, served family-style over large banquette tables in The Lucky Onion’s beautiful Georgian Townhouse No. 38 The Park.
Tickets will be priced at £80pp person and will include a welcome cocktail and canapés, a three course lunch or dinner devised and prepared by the team from NOPI and a signed copy of NOPI: The Cookbook.
