A perfect complement to what will hopefully be lengthy summer heatwave, the Herefordshire & Somerset Cider Tap Takeover at The King & Co runs from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd August (while stocks last). Visitors can sample a selection of traditional ciders and perrys as part of the takeover special offers that include 5 pints for just £20 and 5 half pints for only £10. The first night of the takeover includes a Meet the Maker session. During the evening, guests will be able to experience free tasting sessions and have questions answered by expert cider makers Newton Court Cider and Harry’s Cider.
Regular Monday evenings at The King & Co feature the popular pub quiz that runs alongside the cask ale club, where ales are available for £3.20. The pub quiz is open to teams of up to six people, starts at 8.30pm and costs £5 per team – with the evening’s pot of quiz team entry fees awarded to the winners.
The King & Co is the ideal place to hang out on lazy weekends. Streetfood stars Vinn Goute will be serving their exclusive Tropikal Brunch Wraps on Saturdays and Sundays between 12pm and 4pm throughout August as part of their extended Seychelles kitchen residency. For just £15, diners can upgrade to a Bottomless Boozy Brunch and enjoy bottomless Bloody Marys, Little Hopster Pale Ale or Cava for the duration of their brunch visit. Sundayevenings also feature live music sessions that range from acoustic and blues to sea shanties and folk bluegrass.
