This November, Sandia Chang will raise a glass to three of Champagne’s best female producers inviting them to take over the menu at bubbledogs. From Monday 2nd – Saturday 7th November, the gourmet hot dog and grower Champagne restaurant will exclusively serve Champagnes from Sandia’s favourite producers, Francoise Bedel, Dominique Moreau and Chantale Bara.
Over the course of the week, Sandia will toast her favourite grower Champagnes – beginning with ‘Dis, Vin Secret’ Brut (£9/glass) produced by Francoise Bedel in Crouttes-sur-Marne. Aged for 6 years, the wine is rich and complex complemented with notes of dried apricot skins and toasted oats. Secondly, ‘Concordance’ Brut Nature (£14/glass) produced by the diminutive Dominique Moreau. Dominique’s small, 2.5 hectare vineyard named after her grandmother, Marie Courtin allows everything to be farmed bio dynamically and hand harvested. The sulphur-free cuvee is softened with notes of red apples, orange zest, hints of cinnamon and the surprising – toast crunch cereal. Finally, a wonderfully balanced Grand Rosé, Grand Cru Brut (£9/glass) from Chantale Bara, a 6th generation winemaker. The rosé, from the Paul Bara vineyards, in the Bouzy commune is flavoured with rose petals, red currants, blood orange, cherries and raspberries.
‘I’m thrilled to be welcoming three of my favourite producers to the bubbledogs’ menu – and to have the opportunity to support smaller, hard working producers. I hope it will encourage people to try something different – and fall in love with them, just as I have!’ says Sandia Chang.
bubbledogs’ gourmet hot dog menu will continue to make the perfect pair to a glass of bubbles, with favourites such as the BLT; crispy bacon, caramelized lettuce & truffle mayo and the Ronald; secret burger sauce, lettuce, tomatoes pickled and cheese alongside classic American sides; Tots, Sweet potato fries and Coleslaw.
